Neutrogena is known for making a number of face washes and lotions. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash seems to be fairly decent. This product is made for people that have very oily skin. If you don’t have oily skin this will dry your skin right out. Many of the customer reviews I saw said this. On average I would say about 60% of customers who used this product said it was an okay face wash. Few people said it cleared their acne altogether though. I saw a number of consumer reviews that said is stopped working for them after about 2 months of use. The product contains an okay formula. It just depends on how much you like Salicylic Acid.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash works by using a strong chemical called Salicylic Acid. You will find that most acne face washes use this product. Salicylic Acid is known to be able to kill the bacteria which is thought to be the main cause of acne. The problem is Salicylic Acid can also damage your skin and cause dryness and redness. Neutrogena uses a few other ingredients in this product that attack acne in a similar way, by killing the bacteria. A couple of the ingredients in this product also help to try and keep your skin healthy and strong.

Neutrogena’s customer service is fairly similar to many of the other big name companies. You may get a representative that can help you are you may not. Basically most people do not return this product, because it is not all that expensive and it is mostly bought in the store rather than online. I did not see very many reviews that mentioned dealing with customer service.

There is nothing all that new about this product. If you have tried products that use Salicylic Acid and they have worked well for you than this product will do basically the same thing. No oils are found in this product which may be a good thing for some people and a bad thing for others. Neutrogena’s product does contain some fragrances and some dyes so if you react to these type of chemicals avoid this product. It seemed like most people thought this product was okay. I did not see many reviews that rated this product above average though. I would say Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is a descent face wash for one of the lower priced products.
